DESCRIPTION:Come stop by Gathering for Women’s table at the Annual Artichoke Festival! Our staff and volunteers would love to tell you all about the activities and opportunities at GFW. We hope to see you there! \nThe annual Artichoke Festival began in 1959 as a harvest festival to celebrate the iconic artichoke and the region known as the “Artichoke Center of the World.” As a result\, the festival became a primary source of funding for local non-profit groups that depend upon a successful event for their viability throughout the years. \nGeneral Admission: $20. Additional tickets may need to be purchased for some events.

If you or someone you know is looking for community resources\, come out to the Seaside Room at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center from 10 AM to 2 PM on April 19th. \nThis years organizations include: \n\nGathering for Women – Monterey\nMeals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula\nCommunity Human Services\nCentral Coast Center for Independent Living (CCCIL)\nYWCA Salinas\nInterim\, Inc.\nMilitary & Veteran’s Affair’s Office of Monterey County\nWomen’s Veteran’s Program\nMonterey County Public Defender\nH.E.R.S. – Helping Empower Reentry Services\n\nIn addition to resources from these organizations\, there will be clothing and toiletry items available for attendees on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nWe hope to see you there!
