Gathering for Women was recognized for our transparency with a 2023 Gold Seal on our GuideStar Nonprofit Profile. GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. More than 8 million visitors per year and a network of 200+ partners use GuideStar data to grow support for nonprofits. In 2018, for the first time in GFW’s history, we took part in an outside, independent review of our financial statements. We hired the well-known firm of Bianchi, Kasavan and Pope, LLC to complete our first certified review. A certified review is the first step for a new and growing nonprofit in preparing for a full financial audit verifying our accounting records and internal controls. In 2019, we completed our first-ever audit for fiscal year 2018.
Gathering for Women continues to build capacity daily. Since its inception, GFW has dedicated itself to achieve fiscal responsibility in management and use of its resources. The certified review and current submission of our IRS and State tax returns are evidence of our organization’s financial integrity and stability.
